Gymnastics

Whether they are involved in recreational gymnastics or with a competition team, skills learned in gymnastics can benefit a child’s overall development.  Gymnastics is one of the most comprehensive lifestyle exercise programs--incorporating strength, flexibility, speed, balance, coordination, power, and discipline. Other science backed health benefits of gymnastics include a better sense of personal control and self esteem, improved mental focus and concentration, improved bone health, increased muscular strength, healthy posture, reduced depression & increased endorphin release.

We have a variety of classes available for boys and girls of different ages and skill levels.  Please refer to our current recreational gymnastics class schedule below.  A description of all gymnastics classes is provided below the schedule.

In this structured class, toddlers  will learn basic gymnastics skills, explore obstacle courses, jump and climb - developing body awareness and large motor skills.  Exercising and having fun together enhances the parent/child relationship.  Receiving instruction and help from the coaches begins the transition from primary caregiver to adult instructed classes.

45 Minute Class

KinderGym (ages 3-4)

5In this introductory class, children will be challenged in flexibility, movement and control in a fun and stimulating environment that changes weekly.  Through strength and flexibility training in circuits along with basic gymnastics technique, children learn to focus and take instruction from coaches. Anyone taking KinderGym must be fully potty trained.

I enjoy working with children because they are fun - and funny! I have an opportunity each day to be an instrument in shaping a child’s perspective, outlook, and work ethic.

My favorite thing about coaching is being able to give kids a fun and safe environment to try new things and help them do more than they knew they could.
I love seeing kids get that skill they have been working hard on - their excitement about their accomplishment makes coaching worthwhile for me.
